How can women in Uganda build a better future after the lockdown?

Globally the impact of the pandemic is clearly visible, especially in a country like Uganda where a third of the population lives below the poverty line. How do you provide in the basic needs for your family? How do you pay off your loan now there is little or no income? How do you deal with domestic violence?

A Woman's Worth empowers women in the slums of Uganda. We guide women towards a financially independent and self-sufficient future by sharing knowledge about entrepreneurship, personal development and fashion. Investing in the economic empowerment of women results in gender equality, less poverty and it promotes economic growth.

A Woman's Worth believes in the power of knowledge and therefore we don't give out money or loans but we only share knowledge and experience. After participating in our “Goals for Women” program, women are able to start of expand their business in a responsible way, save and provide in the basic needs for their families. Besides the women are more confident and they are aware of their rights.

Due to an increased demand since the lockdown we can't give all women access to our program at the moment and therefore we needed to create a waiting list. We want to give these women a chance to attend our program as soon as possible so they can build an independent future. In 2021 we want to give at least 90 women access to our program to become a successful entrepreneur and we need your help to make this happen!
